Simply perfect Apple pie recipe. Apples' DIY part 1.

Finaly first apple’s DIY! Today I am glad to present you very classic recipe for apple pie. I guess that every one like this cake, so let’s just do it!

Ingredients:

  • 550 g all-purpose flour
  • 250 g butter (cold)
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • ½ glass sugar
  • 1,5 tsp backing powder
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 kg apples
  • 4 eggs yolks
  • 2 tbsp cinamonne
  • confectioner's sugar to garnish
Utensils:
Knife, oven, 2 large bowl, box grater, baking paper, baking plate of dimensions 24x34 cm.

Step 1:
Add flour, sugar, vanilla extract and baking powder to a large bowl and mix it. Then add eggs yolks, cream and butter. Process all ingredients into a smooth dough using your hand.

Step 2:
¼ of dough put in the freezer and rest put in the fridge.

Step 3
Now it’s time for apples. Peel apples and grate them to the bowl using the large hole of a box grater. When apples give a lot of juice drain it off. Add cinamonne to apples and mixe it. I don’t roast apples and my apple pie taste really grate with not roasted apples. You must try it! ;)

Step 4
Preheat oven to the temperature 180oC/ 355oF. Put the baking paper on the baking plate. Take a dough (this part from a fidge) roll it to 0.5 cm thin and lay it into plate. Place grated apples on a dough. Take frozen dough and grate it on the top of apples using the large hole of a box grater.

Step 5:
Bake in preheated oven at 180oC/ 355oF for approx. 40 min.

Step 6
Baked pie garnish with confectioner’s sugar. Can be served warm with ice cream and whipped cream (it is delicious served like that). Bon appetit!
