Jam of my dreams or Apples-oranges confiture. Apple's DIY part 2



So crazy apples’ time is still with me! I have still a vast resources of apples so it is time for next apples’ DIY. Today I present something less obvious, cause we need to rest a little from traditional apple cake. I did apple confiture this time.
I added the oranges to it to get original flavor. This combination of apples and oranges is absolutely delicious. You have to try it. This apples-oragnes confiture is also easy to make! Let’s just do it then! Recipe below.

Ingredients:

  • 2kg apples
  • ½ glass sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 oranges
  • Juice from one orange


Utensils:
Knife, bowl, box grater, large saucepan, jars, cutting board

Step 1:
Peel apples and grate them to the bowl using the large hole of a box grater.



Step 2:
Take 1 orange and using the small hole of a box grater grate the peel. Now peel oranges and cut them into small parts.


Step 3:
In a large saucepan mix grated apples, cut oranges, orange’s peel and orange juice. Now add sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon. Mix all ingredients and cook over medium heat for approx. 30 min. and after that time reduce heat and cook over low heat for approx. 10 min.



Step 4:
Once our confiture is ready and still hot put it into jars. Set a jars upside down and leave them to cool.
